Keeping the momentum moving forward!

While I and the Council have done much in the transitions in the new form of government, we still have more work that needs to be done.
We need to increase community involvement.
We need to continue to manage the growth of government to make sure that services are appropriate in a cost efficient manner.
We need to further examine and reduce unnecessary ordinances and regulations.

Quality of Life
We must continue to work on Smart Growth. Smart Growth maintains or increases our quality of life. If we are not proactive in planning our future growth, West Jordan's Quality of Life goes down. Respect Taxpayer Money
UPDATE: VOTED AGAINST ENTER[RISE FUND TRANSFER AND PROPERTY TAX RAISE! I have been mindful of the stewardship The Council has over taxpayer funds and worked hard to protect those funds. This past year the Council made difficult decisions dealing with City finances but we have set the firm foundation for the City’s success. I have worked with other Council members and we have stabilized water and other utility rates.

Updated Ordinances
Many of our ordinances that are out of date. Kelvin has worked hard to fix outdated ordinances. Kelvin was the primary author of the updated Alcohol Beverage Ordinance.. The ordinance streamlined processes, removed stove-pipes in City government, and made the ordinance simpler to understand. This should facilitate bringing new restaurants to the City who saw our ordinances as difficult to navigate.
